Limelight Facial is a new and non-invasive approach for skin rejuvenation making use of Cutera’s platform. This treatment improves skin tone and surface imperfections associated with ageing and photo damage.
It can also treats diffuse redness, dyschromia, telangiectasia, solar lentigines and rosacea with more precision and less time – effectively decreasing the number of treatments required.
What area’s can be treated?
It can treat any part of your face, neck, back, decollete, back of hands or arms, with skin redness, telangiectasia (tiny veins), pigmentation or freckles. Even it can also remove light brown spots which were previously difficult to resolve.
What does the treatment do?
The medical practitioner can customize the facial as per to your skin type and selectively treat the brown and/or red pigmented cells.
What do treatments feel like?
You may feel mild pinching and stinging sensation when the pulse is delivered. Before the treatment is it recommended using a gel to cool the skin.
How long will the treatments take?
It depends on the area of the body being treated. Most treatments should take less than one hour.
How many treatments will I need?
One to three treatments can show you the results. For excessively sun-damaged skin additional treatments may be required.
What happens after the treatment?
After the treatment; brown spots will start to darken and your skin may appear slightly red. You may also experience mild swelling in the treated area. The side effects may last for few hours or for a day.
When will I see results?
You will see the results within three weeks. The dark spots will slowly fade. You will experience improvement in your complexions and diffuse redness.
Will the spots and redness reappear over time?
New brown spots, telangiectasia and diffuse redness may appear with new sun damage; however they too can be treated. To avoid this always apply broad spectrum sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots and diffuse redness.
