Mesotheraphy involves micro-injections of specific preparation delivered directly to the targeted area. First introduced about 50 years ago by Dr Michael Pistor in France, and has been in common use in Europe since then. Mesotherapy microinjections act as a “medicinal bullet” delivered directly to its target in the body.
These treatments fall into four categories including:
- To tone, enhance, and nourish the skin
- To stimulate the body to burn fat or dissolve fibrous tissue
- To reduce inflammation and stimulate circulation and healing
- To stimulate follicular growth and help restore natural hair colour
Mesotherapy can be used for tendonitis/bursitis including trochonteric and rotator cuff injuries, plantar fascitis, lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) and well as other sports related conditions.
It can also be used to reduce the appearance of cellulite and tone and shape upper arms, abdomen, thighs, buttocks and love handles. The therapy has also proven very helpful in the treatment of alopecia and hair restoration.
Hair restoration
Hair loss or alopecia is a problem of great concern to all those who experience it thinning of hair starts in adult life. About 50% of adults have significant hair loss by the age of 60. Hair is continually produced and shed at the same time. Healthy hair on the scalp is shed and replaced every 3-5 years. It is not known why certain hair follicles are programmed to have a shorter life than others, but genetics are undoubtedly an important factor.
Some hair loss is quite normal, dead hair drops out because a new hair grows under it. However the following can cause temporary hair loss:-
- Poor Circulation
- Nutritional Imbalances – deficiency of zinc, selenium and copper
- Stress and Illness
- Drugs
- The excess of a hormone known as DHT (dihydrotestosterone)
- Thyroid Disorder
- Iron Deficiency
- Hormonal Imbalance – especially following childbirth
- Medications – chemotherapy agents, anticoagulants, beta-andrenergic and oral contraceptives
Other causes of hair loss:
Exposure of the scalp to burns, x-rays, injury and certain chemicals (including those to purify swimming pools, bleach, dye and perming agents) may cause hair loss.
In Clinic Treatment
Hair restoration involves a four step process including
- Mesotherapy
- Oxygen infusion
- LED therapy
- Nutritional advice.
Mesotherapy works by injecting small amounts of physiologically active agents including vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, plant extracts, homeopathic and traditional western medications immediately beneath the surface of the skins scalp. These preparations stimulate follicular growth and help restore growth and original hair colour.
Suggested Lifestyle Changes and Natural Therapies
For healthy hair you are recommended to have a multi-vitamin and a mineral supplement. The delicate balance of oils on the scalp is maintained by essential fatty acids.
For maintain healthy hair growth; you should supplement your diet with Evening Primrose and Fish oils and also ensure that your diet is rich in fresh fruit and vegetables, especially leafy greens.
Fat dissolve
Mesotherapy injections work as a “medicinal bullet” injected into its target to stimulate the body to burn fat and/or dissolve fibrous tissue. These injections target the mesoderm, the layer of fat and connective tissue under the skin.
The fat is dissolved and eliminated by the kidney and bowel. Mesotherapy increases venous and lymphatic flow as well as breaking down fibrous tissue minimising the appearance of cellulite ad fat deposits by stimulating the beta receptors to excrete fat, and by blocking the alpha receptors so that fat can’t get back into a cell
Price: Mesotherapy from $150
