Improving Your Complexion
Exposure to the certain elements, sun damage, and aging all these take their toll on your skin. No doubt easy to use at-home, topical products can rejuvenate your skin but these are not sufficient. In addition to this one wants new advanced techniques that can help eliminate fine lines, uneven pigmentation, and brown spots.
Six Steps to a Better Complexion
Skin imperfections can be improved upon or eliminated with proper skin care and certain cosmetic or laser procedures. Skin care regimens should be kept simple keeping in mind that the skin should never be scrubbed with an abrasive cloth or rough sponge. The following steps can help to improve the look and feel of your skin:
1. Wash with a gentle cleanser each day
2. Use a moisturiser and a sun block with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or higher in the morning.
3. Use oil-free makeup so that it will not block pores.
4. Eat well and get plenty of sleep. Exercise regularly and maintain appropriate body weight. You can also consume an oral antioxidant which also proves to be beneficial.
5. Use biologically active products, containing ingredients such as alpha (glycolic) or beta hydroxy acid daily.
6. Use a topical retinoid cream (Retin A) or another vitamin A derivative (Retinol) before bed.
